Liverpool has a broader experience and looks better in form than Bayer Leverkusen in this meeting on the 5th of Nov. but it doesn't undermine Leverkusen in causing an upset in that game. They are a resilient side both in the bundlesliga and UCL which is why I think otherwise about Liverpool subduing this Alonso side (if that's even possible) without going through thorns.

There is no way Leverkusen is going to go far in this tournament, they look exhausted inside but the performance of last season is still on their head. They have lost a match in their domestic league and they are also managing number 3 on the table, they are also staying number 6 in the Champions League. We are not going to see how weak some teams has become until we are headed to the round of 16 before we see some teams get knockouts of their place.

Aston Villa is even funny the way they stay at the top since without any loss so far, they will definitely leave thus stage and qualify to the round of 16. There seems to be some too much confidence in some teams right now. Brestois are even ahead of Leverkusen and many top teams form other domestic leagues but they aren't doing well here yet but I'm sure that time will tell.
