It's true. With only two matches so far, it's hard to say Manchester United are improving and Nistelrooy is a good coach.
And why did you even think Manchester United were improving? Their last match was against Chelsea, and I didn’t see anything special that they played in the match. We all know that the match will be a tough one for the two clubs, even if Manchester United are not in form, whenever they play against Chelsea, they are always playing well, and they played at home again, so they didn’t play anything special to me, and in their match against Leicester City, they played against a weak team, so we won’t call that an improvement. Let’s see how they will perform in their coming matches, before we going to conclude.
Exactly the way you said it, Manchester United performance in their last two matches cannot be used to quantify how good they are in the league yet. They played against Leicester City in the Carabao Cup which many team don’t field in their main players but second tier teams or players from the academy, so it will be very easy for them to win that match. Manchester United and Chelsea are big rivals for long and whenever there’s it a match between this two teams, they both put in their best to win the matches even though they know that their performance is not that great at that time in the league. The teams always try to outshine the other to win the match. So getting a draw in this match is just not surprising to me and I won’t use that to say that they’ve improved in their game.
A great comeback from Tottenham, and it's all due to Solanke impressive performance. Solanke's pressing and work off the ball really helped his club in the second half. I still don't know why many people called him a waste of money.
Solanke's stats show his huge impact on the game against Aston Villa. If he gets rolling, he could become a glorified forward in the future. He only needs to get enough minutes. He's often sit on the bench.
Some players are not given much opportunity to play or enough time to play in the club they’ve been signed into if there’s a player that is playing same position with them and better than them. Solana cannot bench their main striker now even though he’s also good as a striker. Moments like this are when he needs to show his expertise more in order to be considered more in future games. He really did well in this match and the stats speaks well for him.
