I suppose there is a psychological effect of losing a larger amount. That is, losing $100 on one bet will be psychologically perceived as more painful than losing the same amount on 10 bets.

Exactly. Gambling takes real focus, and no matter the outcome, you can’t get emotional - you’ve got to stay clear-headed for the next bet. If $100 feels like too much for a single bet, it can mess with your thinking and lead to chasing losses.

This happens a lot, not just to us but to many other gamblers too. That’s why discipline is so important. One way to stay disciplined is by managing your bankroll well. If $100 is your whole bankroll, that’s like going "all in," which isn’t a smart move.
