Definition of mixer getting blurry these days. In past, i'm sure it refers to centralized service where you need to trust them. But these days, some people also include all form of CoinJoin as mixer.

You can still participate in coinjoins with the Wasabi wallet. It hasn't stopped. Wasabi's default coordinator, zkSNACKs, has stopped its operation. You can't connect to zkSNACKs any longer to participate in coinjoins, but you can do so using any other coordinator if you want, including the one operated by that person you mentioned. FYI, there some website or webpage which list WabiSabi coordinator such as https://wabisator.com/. In fact, there are other CoinJoin wallet out there such as GingerWallet (fork of Wasabi Wallet).
