I think the fans who thought that if 9 points not a big gap were not watching football. I think they were not watching Real Madrid's game against Barcelona. We looked much worse than last season. Barcelona destroyed us, and we didn't score. The main problem is that if Barcelona is doing a snowball till the end of season. We have no chance to catch them.

I'm not a fan who is being delusional and thinks last season's result could repeat. I'm realizing now, we're worse since our magic passer, Kroos, retired. We let our goatselu leave without even trying to extend his contract. We're yet to find a proper replacement for those guys.

I really missed last season when we were still having Kroos and Goatselu in our side. We played like a finished team this season.

A 9 point gap could potentially cause Real Madrid to fail in defending their title, the situation will be even more difficult if Barcelona progress remains unstoppable.
It is now clear what Real Madrid truly needs. Without Toni Kroos, the Los Blancos front line cannot function at its best. This indicates that Toni Kroos is a key figure who maintains the depth of the game. Ancelotti can no longer expect more from Modric due to his age. Of course, Real Madrid fans also miss the sensational loan player, Joselu. Florentino Perez is aware that the squad transition is not going according to his wishes, coupled with a number of injured players, he must move to find the next Toni Kroos.

Honestly, 9 points is a big gap and any Real Madrid fan that's yet to understand that is just being sentimental, I'm not really happy about Madrid's decline cause they're the team I love in the Spanish Laliga and I hope they get back on track, the good thing is that they've got an outstanding match with Valencia which they could take advantage of to close the gap, winning that match is very compulsory if they really want to close the gap between them and Barcelona. At this point an average Madrid fan would be hoping that Barca's form decline for their team to cover up, well it's the normal expectation of every fan that their rivals would decline in form but I think they should hope on their team getting better cause Barcelona this season, is getting very tougher by each matches and with the presence of Hansi Flick, I think they'll keep improving rather than decline in form. Ancelotti needs to take advantage of the January window and sign one or two players that would help Madrid improve else they might end up not being able to defend their trophy.
