Well to be fair, Auxerre is ahead of Rennes at the league table, so it is not a shocking that they won, maybe the four goals part could be the shocking part, but anything could happen in football, just the other week we saw Barcleona win 4-0 against Real Madrid, so seeing Auxerre to win against Rennes isn't really that shocking. The real shocking result was Monaco, who lost to Angers, and they also lost to Nice previous game as well, so that makes it two in a row for them and puts them very far away.

PSG is now leading with 6 points gap already, and they are looking like they are basically ready to lift the title already. Marseille has shown some improvements for the season and at second after this Monaco loss. I believe Lille seems to be the fourth place is the understatement of the year, because they look better than both Monaco and Marseille and just had some unlucky games, I believe they are looking like the second best team in the league right now.

When PSG started the new season without Mbappe, the only talk was that PSG might not win the France League final this season and their early performances made it seem that way, but now they are back at the top of the points table. Their performances now look like they will win the France League title this season either way. They realize that their team is not as strong as it used to be but they still have to finish the season with this team as there is no chance that they will bring a quality player to the club at will. But expect them to do whatever it takes to strengthen their squad next season, and once again they will be lining up to do well in the Champions League tournament.
