Real Madrid is a world-class club with a rich history of success, and while the 9-point gap between them and Barcelona may seem significant, if Real Madrid can come together as a team, identify their issues, and address them promptly, there’s every possibility they can close the gap and catch up with Barcelona. The season is still long, and form can change quickly in football. However, if they continue to struggle with their current form and fail to resolve the underlying problems within the team, it could be difficult for them to even secure a top-three finish in La Liga this season. Madrid’s squad has the talent to compete at the highest level, but they need to find consistency, improve their team dynamics, and build momentum. Failure to do so could see them fall further behind not only Barcelona but also other teams competing for top positions.
Pokapoka124,
My dear brother, I do not see Real Madrid coming back in La Liga to beat Barcelona. No matter how good that might turn to become in the future it all depends on the Barcelona squad. The present Barcelona will are seen is not joking and they have started to hit the ground right from their first match till this moment. Raphinlna is in his top form, the little Yamal and old Lewa are all in good form.
So, for Real Madrid to win the La Liga means that two things will have to happen;
- Real Madrid has to return to excellent form
- Barcelona has to lose form
But there's no guarantee that these two things will happen.
Kingsden, it may not be immediately clear but Real Madrid certainly has the potential to get back to winning ways and challenge Barcelona for the La Liga title. They just need to get some things right.
Firstly, they need to maximize Kylian Mbappe's potential. Ancelotti should push him beyond his comfort zone; with his qualities as a world-class player, Mbappe has the ability to make a huge impact and reignite Madrid’s attack. A more demanding approach from Ancelotti could bring out the best in him and restore Madrid's offensive power.
Secondly, it’s crucial that Jude Bellingham continues to have the freedom to play a versatile role. His performances in his debut season for Madrid have shown his effectiveness when given the license to roam, create, and control the game. Restricting his movements or limiting his influence would undercut one of Madrid's strongest assets. Allowing him the space to play a more creative, free role will enable Bellingham to help Madrid dominate the midfield and drive forward.
Defensively, Real Madrid faces challenges that require urgent attention. Their defense has shown weaknesses, and Ancelotti should prioritize strengthening the back line in the upcoming transfer window. Acquiring defenders who can bring stability and resilience to Madrid’s defense would be crucial to making the team more competitive.
If Madrid can address these areas, they have a good chance of catching up with Barcelona and even competing for the La Liga title.
