Well you're not wrong. I already outlined a couple of reasons why my bias and the biases of you and others were fixed on Madrid winning that game. I don't think it has anything to do with the recent change in UCL format because when you think about it, Real Madrid has been shitty in the la liga and they even lost 0-4 at home to Barcelona this season. Man city? They escaped losses a couple of times before Bournemouth caught up with them last weekend and ended their unbeaten run.
Real Madrid have been quite poor at the back and their Forwards also don't seem to be creating enough scoring chances, but I have watched champion's league for almost 2 decades to know that this edition is completely different. The goals being scored are astronomical, and the big teams are getting smashed every other game week
