You are right, debt addiction is real and in my case it became a quick escape from the long process of saving my own money on a weekly or monthly basis. At first, I really needed the loan to cover taxes, university fees and even sometimes medical expenses. However, I realized that taking out more loans wasn’t the solution and instead, it only increased my debt, and the last one when I kept convincing myself that I could easily succeed by investing it. I now see that this approach was wrong and I need to learn how to avoid this cycle in the future.

Like I know this forum has been the best place ever to guide and build me (anyone) about my gambling habits and if you actually put everything you read here about gambling addiction you will never fall in this whole situation you are now. But one thing I must tell you now is to close all your gambling accounts and focused on yourself, then think about paying out @shasan his loan I know he is a reputable member of this forum and he will understand provided you keep showing commitment then he would pardons you to gradually clear up your loans, I don't think that would be any problems in as much as you are in a campaign then it's rest assured that you will have to clear up your loans.

For about @Hhampuz, though I never worked with him before but I know he is also an understandable person who so much love his community. If there are any problems between you guys just write to him and explain everything you want him to help you out, I believe every one of us here is a human and they also have sense of reasoning no matter how hard they may seems to be at least if you go with a cogent or a tangible reasons they would definitely gives you a listening ear.

That’s exactly what I mentioned in my post. I knew about the dangers of gambling in my situation I even shared a topic before where I talked about taking a break from gambling and self-excluding from casino accounts. But once that period ended I found myself gambling heavily all over again.

As for my relationship with @Hhampuz, I have no issues with him at all. He is always supportive, understanding and helped me many times. Overall I have a good relationship with most if not all members of the forum. My real struggle is with myself I feel always acting in ways that goes against what I truly want and know is better. I think many gambling addicts, smokers, or those with other habits are aware of the negatives but still doing that regardless.

Thank you for your kind words and advices, as well as for the previous replies here. It means a lot to me to read this and it gives me more hope, a great sense of relief. This is actually the first time someone has suggested an exercise like this to me even Im not really sure of all its benefits, I realize I have been missing out on enjoying the small details of my environment. Once I go outside my university dorm room, my mind goes straight into overdrive with constantly thinking about what to do next. I always feel rushed, eating quickly, completing my tasks in a hurry, all so I can focus on ways to earn more and improve my life.
One thing about me is that I never want to appear in need or lacking money beside my friends and surroundings. Outside my online life and virtual communities, I avoid letting anyone sympathize with me, and no one really knows about my struggles, including my addictions. During a period when I had to move out due to family conflicts, I had to manage rent for a small dorm apartment, and all the stress along with the fear of going back into old habits, I took so much energy and I lost sight of what really matters.
I will definitely start this exercise today and I really appreciate you suggesting it.

Regarding Campaign Management, I believe it’s a great idea, especially if someone with experience could guide me on the first steps, like finding clients and understanding more of the details. Im committed that any earnings will go directly toward paying off my debts and to those who have helped me. I will close all my gambling accounts, and I believe my current expenses will help keep me away from gambling until I fully recover from this addiction. I have managed to quit before, and Im prepared to do it again as many times as necessary.

I would say that shasan should not have "helped" OP with loans anymore, although this seems very harsh, for OP it would have been helpful. As long as there are people who will lend, OP will be addicted. Debts will grow—harsh reality.

I am not sure that this can be dealt with independently, and I do not know the country of residence of OP. But if you take out a loan again, I would advise you to find either a clinic or a good psychotherapist who could help you recover from drug addiction and gambling addiction. Unfortunately, I have not met people who were able to overcome drug addiction on their own completely.

Actually, I have lost everything except for my signature campaign job and my translation checking work. I used to manage multiple jobs, including daily streaming for a new casino, which was really helpful. It allowed me to cover my expenses, rent, and visa application. Later on the casino suddenly decided to end the streaming program leaving me with debts to pay.
As for the loans from Shasan, they were so helpful, and there was no issue on his end, the problem was mine. That last $400 loan was as a wake up call for me after losing them in 24 hours with a silly reason from my side to compete in a gambling competition which was only an escape to fill my addiction in reality.

Unfortunately, my country doesn’t have rehab centers for gambling addiction. For drug addiction, while I wasn’t using any heavy drugs I started very young in around 16 years old and quitting last year was incredibly tough both physically and mentally. The withdrawal process was awful. I tried finding rehab centers, but without family support and with the closest center in another town, it was financially impossible. The psychiatrists here would only prescribe other drugs. Despite all this, I managed to quit drugs by keeping myself busy working and studying all day on my computer.

I’m aware of all that, as you can see from my posts in the gambling section. however, applying all that knowledge in my case is different.

For that job, I get paid 3 cents for each translated word I check.

I recall when you were in the hospital dealing with medical issues and still managed to check in on us and send our salaries on time. Btw, is everything okay with your health now?

@Poker Player, just to clarify, I have been drugfree for almost a year now and I haven’t touched anything since I made my decision. Unfortunately, the medical system here is not reliable enough for my condition.

I recognize my situation and have learned a lot from everyone’s perspective. @examplens, I understand and respect what you said, so don’t worry, you are right in what you said to me. I have made things worse for myself, and I’m not looking for anyone to trust me right now nor to try to get more loans. I ask all members here to refuse any loan requests from me in the future, even that I don’t intend to make any more. You raised a good point about each person.s unique situation. In my case, things are definitely difficult, even down to the messed setup of my workspace here in my dorm, but that doesn’t mean Im giving up.

Losing everything (house, family, friends) for my beliefs has always somehow motivated me to work harder and learn from my mistakes instead of getting stuck in a cycle. I hope this thread becomes a place where I prove to myself and the community that change is possible.

I’m always available for work, and I also would like to announce that if any community managers, campaign managers, or others need help, Im available to work voluntarily without expecting anything in return. This will help me stay busy with something positive while gaining more experience.
