What makes you so sure that people would believe their act comes with a good purpose though? At the end of the day they successfully control the coins, and god knows which wallet they're trying to hack next if such technology is possible. Regardless of the motive, the market will react negatively and fud will come in full swing. I mean, just take a look at how some people react whenever a big transfer to exchange (>500 BTC) happens.

People love to receive news about these transactions, big or small, from very old era wallets, can read news on cryptocurrency newspapers or can subscribe to some Whale Alert Channels for it. They will receive news, notifications they'd love to see.

Others can ignore these news because it is news for market manipulation, and if they want to be no or less affected by news, less be manipulated by market makers, ignoring those news of such transactions is good way.

Bitcoin market is big and can absorb sales of these bitcoins. Satoshi's bitcoins are huge and can make big difference but I never think Satoshi Nakamoto will move all his bitcoins and dump these coins on Bitcoin market. A Bitcoin founder is smart enough to avoid this terrible sale.
