You are absolutely right and many would probably agree. If anybody anywhere is suffering from any form of addiction and they have nobody to share their issues with, there is no doubt it would only compound the despair. Depending on the individual and their circumstances, sharing a story can be like therapy or another helpful mechanism for someone in trouble to start getting the right help and by trying to curtail their urges that was why I stated if he feels he could use this thread as motivation it might be part of the recovery process.
Maybe keeping intimate details of your private life away from the public would have been better however, if you feel you can use this thread as motivation to turn your current predicament around then maybe it will be part of the recovery process.
Sometimes sharing your story is like therapy honestly. What if he has noone to talk to and this helps him cope? Sure he looks bad but he also is at least admitting a problem and trying to figure it out. I'd much rather see this route taken vs disappearing n scamming.
