Arsenal is already 9 points behind the league leaders Liverpool and with the structure of Arsenal currently, it is uncertain whether they can start being more consistent in the title race so they may not even finish in the top three position this season. 9 point difference is not really a big gap, but it will be a problem if Arsenal cannot perform consistently while Liverpool remains strong, so instead of closing the gap, it will become even further apart. Likewise with Man City, even though they are only 5 points behind Liverpool, but their performance has declined recently, so if they cannot quickly find a solution to the problems they face, then the gap will also widen.
