Personally I’m finding it difficult to believe a billionaire can go broke due to the worse state of an economy. When I mean broke. To the extend of selling off properties and barely afford a living.
Asking from this question because I know of a billionaire who right now is going about asking people for help because he has gone broke.
People said he went broke due to the way the economy turned out this he tells people who are close to him. On hearing this I felt there was something else behind this man’s success when maybe didn’t end well for him. Because how can the bad state of an economy cause you to go broke. It’s difficult to believe.

Yea, a difficult economic situation can impact a billionaire negatively and even reduce his financial power significantly, just as the case of aliko dangote, he was once the richest man in Africa, but due to a very difficult economic situation Nigeria is currently facing, his financial power has drop significantly, but he is still a billionaire, but on the aspect of going broke to the level of begging for financial assistance from friends and well wishers just to feed is way too much, unless something spiritual is the brain behind it.
Because how can you explain such that someone swimming in wealth, that rose to prominence while working hard , will now be begging just to feed?

Though, logically the only way that is possible is if the billionaire in question is spending more than what he is earning, because too me, that's the fastest way of going broke, apart from this, I don't sees any way that a billionaire will collapse financially to the extent of begging just to feed.
