I knew it that Napoli will get all three points from Roma but I never expected it to be 1-0. I expected it to be at least 2-0. However, winning the game is the most important thing that they achieved, because Inter, Fiorentina and Atalanta have already won theirs. The battle for the title race is on and in the next few weeks we will see which of these clubs can continue to keep up with its consistency till the end, because amongst the top four clubs on the table one or two will not be able to maintain the point gap, just as only 4 out of 6 could keep themselves on track this past weekend.
Roma has become the poorest team among the best clubs in the Seria A this season, I expected Napoli to score more than one goal against them since they had lost to a little team that is not as good as Napoli this season. Napoli had 14 shots, two were on goal, and Lukaku converted one of them into goal in the 54 minutes of the match against his former club. Lukaku was rejected by Roma after a one-year deal because he was not the greatest player they might buy for the amounts Chelsea asked for him, and he scored against them in their first match of the season. Furthermore, the new manager cannot affect Roma's situation until they sign more players, this is 13 games, and they have only won three.
However, the Seria A this season will probably be more competitive than in past seasons, with four clubs right now behind Napoli, who leads the league with 29 points. The one-point differential is not enough for Napoli to feel secure at the top of the league, if they make any mistakes and draw any of their games, they will lose their top spot. Of course, in the next weeks, we'll see who will lead the top of the league.
