Liverpool have the advantage in this match, they have the squad depth to rotate players effectively and maintain their competitiveness. Manchester City players complained about the number of games they have to play because of the new Champions League format. I think the players are not ready mentally and physically for the busy calendar, it’s no surprise that they are fatigue and are sustaining injuries. I think the number of fixtures should be reduced from next season so the players w can be fit and maintain the quality of the game.
I don't want to believe completely that it's all about Liverpool here, city too has got a good squad and depth except for the fact that a jey player as rodri who is one of their play maker will be absent, Manchester isn't in that very terrible form and this is premier League where they are rated as almost equals, I know I Liverpool is at advantage as the host but I'm a bit optimistic about Manchester City hoping to get a draw if possible because if they loose this, it's going to affect their position on the table and threaten their chances of been in the title race this season for the premiere league.
Their position and the fight for the title race has already been threatened for a while now, I don’t know how much more they need to know that with what they’re playing, they won’t be able to win the league title this season and will just end up in some runner up or champions league position in a best instance for them. Liverpool are showing the best performance in the league games and would want to continue to be consistent in order to maintain this position in the fight for the league title. Manchester City may not be that bad that we'll exempt them from the league title race, but until they show a convincing performance, I don’t think they can be able to do anything to persuade the people that they’re very much ready and interested for the title race.
