Sorry for your experience while gambling. Gambling is not meant for everyone. If you know that you are gambling with the money that you can not afford to lose and you can not control it, it is better you should quit gambling. Gambling is not a way of making money but I think that got you into gambling addiction. Best is to quit gambling.
I empathize with the OP, his disgust for gambling is born out of the unfortunate experiences that he's experiencing as a result of his huge loses, it's easy to call gambling the devil if you're in his shoes. But he should understand that it's not everybody that allowed themselves to become gambling degenerates, when somebody gets to that peak of addiction, it can totally destroy the person, both physically and mentally. OP needs professional help, love and understanding with support from his loved ones to get through this difficult time. It's best that he takes a long break from gambling or possibly quit from it because clearly gambling is not for everybody, if he can't gamble responsibly it's better to quit.
He's just frustrated wit what he experience but for sure once the emotion subside and he see that many of his friends or people around him keeps participating or trying their luck on gambling then provably that there's a chance that he will go back in this activity.
What happen to him is another gentle reminder that we need to slow down everything on what we deal in gambling and we should not became so greedy to chase either profits or recover back our losses since it will always give us bad result at the end of the day. People just need to settle down their expectation and make sure that they are in total control on everything they do. Since if they are lucky then those good amount gain from what they play will just come. Don't rush everything and just enjoy playing those casino games.
