Pep Guardiola legacy alone in Manchester City is bigger than whole Liverpool. Despite the poor form he found himself this season, he still remained one of the best managers at Etihad stadium. Winning 6 EPL titles for Manchester City, and Liverpool just having a single EPL title under the management of the former coach, Jurgen Klopp. So I ask, why Liverpool fans booed Pep Guardiola during the match probably when leading 2 nil at Anfield? It's pointless chanting his sack because the Citizens will be forever grateful for the outstanding performance and accomplishments made by Pep Guardiola for the team. He singlehandedly made the club become very competitive till this present day, he deserved his accolades.
The emotional atmosphere of football at matches sees whistles and jeers, but it would be nice if we could take a moment to appreciate how much a coach can contribute to a team's development, whatever the rivalry. Manchester City has been transformed by the amazing achievements Pep Guardiola has achieved and by his style of play. The spice of football’s beauty is rivalries with clubs but should not lose appreciation for the dedication and hard work behind someone being on the other side of the ball. Instead of employing energy to cowardice, we need to acknowledge the football’s beauty that great teams present to us, celebrate this beauty and be constructive while we remain of the sportsmanship spirit.
