It's just another phenomenon that gamblers often assumes that they have some control over the outcome of their bets especially if they have been doing it for a while even though every time is just purely random there's no skill involved. Take dice for an example we might assume that we can control and influence the result of it by throwing softer or harder or in anyway that our brain recognize a pattern and keep tells us it's a way to win the game. So let's discuss about it.
Yeah, this phenomenon  is from the class of illusions to which  plenty of gamblers me included fall at the beginning of their gambler's journey. However, believe me, in a couple of years it will gradually disappear and people involved will read the betting room. Regarding  dice, I think the throwing  skill is really matter here at least I knew the man who win more than often owing his art.
In the end, all these assumptions are misleading and make anyone lose their money, various ways of playing like that can probably only be done in land-based casinos and now we play in online gambling so we can never do it again.
Throwing the dice carefully and gently to get the desired results or taking cards in certain ways, haha that is an ability or skill that actually cannot guarantee victory.
Reality of gambling is LOST, we cannot fight it.
