Just because a scammer is stupid does not make him less of a scammer. It makes it less likely that people will fall for it. But even scammers more sophisticated than this one play with the big numbers, they know that they will only be able to scam a very few people but only with those few will it be profitable for them. There is always someone clueless or naive that can fall for it.
