I won't defend Mbappe but I think a penalty miss is not something that looks bad and even a star player has experienced it in the past.
On the one hand he is a good player (in Ligue 1) while now he is in La Liga with a lot of competition and I believe he just doesn't have the mentality.
So this miss may be a bad start but in the future when Mbappe gets used to it and has a mentality like Vinic, I believe he will be a very good player who can give the best contribution to Madrid.

Missing a penalty is not something that is bad to watch but it is bad if the same player misses two penalties in a row. In the two matches Mbappe has missed a penalty, Real Madrid have lost both of those matches. Maybe it was because of his missed penalty that his team lost.

Mbappe has played well in League One and has scored in most of the matches there. But why is he performing so poorly after joining Real Madrid? If you want to say he doesn't have the mentality then it's wrong because he participated in this La Liga while playing for PSG. So he might have the experience to participate in this exciting match. Actually he is not in form at present, he should improve his game.
