It seems to me that the solution should be sought in the question itself, if the OP asks what to do if a huge loss occurs, then the obvious answer would be to exclude the possibility of a huge loss.

The bet amount should be small, or such that the loss does not make you feel bad. If you allow for such a thing that after a loss you will need some time to recover, then this is very bad, because the nervous system suffers a lot of damage, and this will have a bad effect not only on your finances, but also on your health, maybe not immediately but over time.
I agree with you because that is the right thing that we must do when gambling. We can not use a big amount to bet because that can lead us to get more losses at once. We must prevent that losses become big by always use small bet to gambling so when we see the money is not too much, we can decide to stop gambling and leave the casino. In that time, we must reduce the intention because of losing for some time so take a break will be better than keep playing gambling. After huge losses, someone must realize that he don't have luck and he must get out from the games before everything is change. That is for prevention from the big losses that can comes to him.

If you lose small amount then the chance that you can still control your emotion is very possible unlike if you using huge amount which most of the time carried your emotions, when you lose you get aggreviated and you wanted to recover quickly, meaning that you'll add more money and probably the outcome still against you.

Better to stop and make sure to analyze, re-assess if possible and take some air chill yourself that helps to refresh your intention and avoid losing more.
