Bayern Munich is indeed a bit disappointing because they were eliminated too quickly when other teams performed inconsistently. Bayern did not take advantage of that as an opportunity. It was fortunate that they failed in the DFB Pokal, because the competition was not too prestigious. Once again Kompany must focus on the Champions League and Bundesliga because these 2 competitions have a much greater influence on his status as Bayern club coach.
If it had been a defeat to a smaller club, there would have been questions about Bayern's motivation, but in fact they lost to the reigning champions and in a fairly close fight. You could say Neuer made the result by getting sent off early. But now the calendar for Bayern has become a little freer and they can really concentrate on the two main tournaments. Moreover, it looks like the Bundesliga will be won ahead of schedule, so the entire priority will ultimately be on the Champions League.
The defeat from leverkusen has caused huge disappointment to the management, fans and even players, so I don't think we can say that munchen don't consider the DFB pokal trophy important, I personally don't know why some of us think munich don't prioritise the dfb pokal trophy when in fact kompany fielded his main squad in that match?
For me personally it's simple to respond that the defeat happen, because indeed leverkusen performance was better than munich, besides that munich downfall in the match was none other than because they were player outnumbered after neuer got red card.
