For me, friends play a very important role in my life if something happens, one day I will definitely need their help, so as much as possible not to break off friendship just because of money.

The reality is high class people tend to not help low class people and low class people tend to help other people. If you care with "friendship" you're high unlikely be rich since you value friendship over money, rich people don't have friends, but they have colleagues, acquaintances, schoolmates, clients.

Well if they pay up thats a good freind! I find usually that unless i put in some skin in the game i'm not getting a payout period lol. There is no such thing as something for nothing, there is always some sort of price you pay whether it be monetary or something else! The price could be a favor or some other sort of agreement not always tied to money but more so a promise to give something or do something. Honestly unless you hound this guy on it I don't think he is gonna pay.
