I can't say New Zealand's first day was very good in terms of Test matches. England are not a team that lags far behind in Test cricket. New Zealand's pitches are mostly batting friendly. 330-350 is not a big target, especially for England, on a batting friendly pitch. You have to perform better and put them under pressure if you want to win against big fishers like England. New Zealand have already crashed out of the series after losing the first two matches. I can see New Zealand getting a shameful whitewash against England.
Did you watch the live broadcast of the third Test match between New Zealand and England, maybe you didn't. New Zealand batted very well in the first innings against England and even they are batting well in the second innings against England. On Which you call a batting friendly pitch, New Zealand scored more than 300 runs in the first innings but England were bowled out for just 143 runs.
There is still a lot of time left to lose the third test match, maybe New Zealand will win this match, they will give the England team a big run target, because they are already 281 runs ahead of England.

I agree with you exactly. Even if New Zealand lose the first two test matches they are in the chance to win this one.  But they need to grab this opportunity. The best thing New Zealand did here was they bowled England out for 143 runs and got a big lead. Also, they have started the 2nd innings well and made over 100 with only one wicket lost.

We are in the last session of day 02 in this match and New Zealand have already got a lead of 315 runs. They can bat throughout the 3rd day and make this lead above 500. It will be a match winning lead as it's hard for any team to chase over 500+ runs in the last innings.
