I do not believe this was a genuine question asked in good faith or innocently. The OP knows more about the forum than he claims.

Alas, I've become so jaded with respect to this forum that I more often than not doubt the genuineness of posts, especially ones coming from new accounts.  But I'm sure you're aware that being here for years and seeing all sorts of morons abusing what bitcointalk has to offer can do that to you.
Tell me about it  Grin

There have been many members over the years that do abuse the system including many that operate account farms and are earning from several campaigns at once and those that cheat in bounties and merit abuse and the list goes on. One of the most important aspects of their nefarious conduct could be if they infiltrate DT and that is a nightmare scenario. In that case slowing them down is the best that can be achieved by tagging accounts when they become known.

Also, if you look at the OP profile you will notice he has not logged in since creating the thread therefore it paves the way for others to come to their own conclusions about him.

On a semi-related note, I've been browsing reddit recently and was never that familiar with the site since my early experiences with it sucked, and in doing so I noticed that an OP will start a thread with a question and a lot of times most of the responses will give the same answer in various forms.  Obviously nobody reads there, either, but there aren't any signature campaigns on reddit.  That's somewhat reassuring, since now I realize that when the same thing happens here it's not solely because people are trying to earn money.  Still, it's annoying as hell.
I am not a Reddit registered user but occasionally do browse. I noticed that repetitiveness you alluded to but at the same time they have the "+" sign indicating a reply. As they allow users the option to select which replies to posts they want to read, that is a plus point. You might find it annoying but imagine would happen to Reddit if they had a signature campaign structure where posting for pay was adopted. it could really end up going downhill.
