Going by the statistics, Ademola lookman has been doing remarkable well for himself, that hat trick against Bayern Leverkusen in that UEFA Europa final really brought him to an incredible limelight. I saw Atalanta's last match in the UEFA Champions League encounter with Real Madrid, Lookman was all dazzling with an incredible moves and passes in and out of the Madrid defence line, a match they lost 3-2 but he was still recognised and given match of the match because of his exceptional brilliance. Is good to see him wearing the Yoruba native attire. Congratulations champ.
He was actually unmatched by any other African player out there last season, and even uptil this moment,  when the list of players, I mean the potential winners of this year African best came out, I was discussing with a guy in my neighborhood that it's a one way victory for ademola lookman, because he is actually miles ahead of the rest in terms of achievement, numbers, goals/assist and even form presently, so in my own opinion, it's very much deserving for him to be crown this year African best.
I am sure that the other contenders of the CAF men's player of the year award were already aware that they had no chance of winning this award when lookman is in the equation. It's just like African goalie of the year, even though we are Nigerians and tries to project our super eagles goal keeper who was sensational both at the AFCON and after the after, it was still evident that Williams deserves it more.

This award is whY you see and spot out credibility and not what's the case with the balon d'or when some indices that ought not to be considered is used to rule out certain player. This win for Ademola lookman is a huge one for Nigeria and for the other Nigerians like the super falcons goalie that has come out two straight times as African safest hands, it's a huge victory for the nation. The coming edition will be more fieced because moh salah will be very much a part of the equation but at the end, the fate of the winner will still hing more on what playes out at the AFCON and the coming world cup qualification.

This is well deserving, congratulations to our very own Ademola Lookman, the 7th Nigerian that's winning the CAF player award, kudos to the other four Africans that made the final list, it's not easy to be outstanding among the rest and hopefully someday any of them might win it if they work hard enough to achieve like Lookman did, he was very outstanding last year and even this year and i was very sure he'll win it when i saw other players contending with him in the final list. This is the 2nd time Nigeria is winning this award back to back, kanu Nwankwo and Victor ikpeba won it in 1996 and 97, then Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman has done it in recent times, this shows how well Nigerians have been representing in African tournaments and in diaspora, Ademola Lookman was the most spectacular player in the last Europa tournament and played a role in his current club Atalanta winning the tournament i think that's what gave him a boost to win this Award, hopefully he would retain this form to win the next, kudos to him, he's the real MVP.
