Exactly that is where Pep Guardiola got it wrong by not signing enough players last summer transfer window, this had resulted to their poor runs, though he had some few signings like return of Gundogan from Barcelona and signing of Sarvinho, I believe Pep Guardiola thinks that he has a formidable squad with depth not considering injuries that might hinder his squad, now a handful of first team players are out injured among them include Rodri, Ake, Akanji and Stone those players would have make a positive impact on the team had they been fit unfortunately Pep Guardiola didn't have perfect replacement for them and it obvious some of the squad players are getting old thus wouldn't play optimally players like Debruyn, Silva and Gundogan.

Guadiola believes that the players he has will continue to perform well; he didn't know that they would be injured, which is why he didn't acquire any players last season, but based on how they are performing in the league this season, they will absolutely try to buy more players for the club. Because if Guadiola does not sign new players in the next window, it will be extremely difficult for him to even qualify for the Champions League next season because his performance has been awful since Rodri was hurt, and his club is no longer predictable, you can't say Manchester City will win games thing they finish. In their last game against Manchester United, I didn't think Manchester United would win, because am thinking Guadiola will achieve three point but probably they loss all the point in the Etihad. If Guadiola think he won't perform well in the league anymore he should have not renew is contract with the club anymore. Even de Bruyne as already weak in the club he can perform as before anymore, let see which players Guadiola will like to buy after the Windows is open again.
