It has been noticed that during festive periods such as  Christmas, Easter, sallah, etc the food prices are at their peak leaving the consumers no other choice than to purchase at such amount which is not meant to be so.I don't really know why its always this way but the government has to really look into this issue.
Moreover, even at normal periods when there is no celebration at hand the price of food in the market is alarming. This could render the consumer not to  have purchasing power over the goods in the market.Over the past 12 months, the average food inflation rate rose to 38.67%, a substantial increase of 11.58 percentage points compared to 27.09% in November 2023.This is not a welcome approach and the government should get all hands on deck quickly on this matter cause if the whole nation should go hungry there would be no one to support the labour force and that would bring about a bad economy.
Right. Prices of food in our country are increasing and every government of the country is not taking any step for the country because they want to rober the country by getting taxes from poor people. People people always pay more taxes than rich people because rich people always escape from tax system and government is dependent on rich people. Meat prices are very high in every country and every government should take action about that because in few years we saw huge pump in the the prices of meat. Rice prices are also very high and people will not forget to eat rice and that's why government increase taxes on that and farmers also hide tons of rice hide and government is not taking step amd prices are going high and high.
