Motivating someone to still hold Bitcoin is good so they realize what benefit of Bitcoin to them. Yes, we can not guarantee them to see the price reach $150k-$180k in 2024 because as we can see now, Bitcoin price has been down a lot from the last ATH. Even this day I see the price were in $99k.
You can tell to your friends that this time is a good time to buy more Bitcoin as the price is down. But it is better to tells them about the risk of the down with the price that they already saw now that Bitcoin price can goes down and not just increase so they can understand about the risk.
We still have at least two weeks to see if the price can reach $150k-$180k in 2024. But if Bitcoin price can not reach that price, you need to explain to your friends that Bitcoin have more opportunities to increase in the next year but there is still uncertainty for Bitcoin.
Maybe not in 2024, but the price could go towards those levels on the long run, with something like 2025 could see the peak as well. I can see why those things could be a little different from each other but we are dealing with a much larger and different approach here.
This is why I believe that we need to consider bitcoin being promoted everywhere is still a good idea because we have time to do something further about it. I am not really considering this an issue, I do not promote it to my friends or family or anything like that, not to people I personally know, because that's very annoying to keep hearing about "when will it go up" everyday, but I do promote and motivate online because I can do that and I could at least do that for all the things bitcoin has done for me.
