Sometimes there are companies that do not pay their workers on holidays, in fact I think only a few companies pay their workers on holidays and those who get it are very lucky to be paid even outside of their working days.
Are there any differences between countries, and have you worked for any companies or businesses? Because I have worked for many companies before and most of them pay salary + bonus for employees who work on holidays. Or on big holidays like national holidays, we get paid 3-5 times the normal salary. I don't think that if a company or business doesn't offer higher salaries or decent bonuses, no one will go to work.
In addition, working on holidays depends on each job and position, we should not demand if we do not get holidays like others. Because it's our choice and that's life, it's never fair and perfect.
