Bayer Leverkusen has set a record that is now a standard for the top clubs in the Bundesliga. Records are good but what matters is a club's ability to win the league. Having said this, Bayern Munich wouldn't have to have an unbeaten run like Bayer's last season"s performance to be called a formidable side. To me, they have performed above my expectations. I never thought that a novice coach like Vincent Kompany would be able to harness the players in the club to come up with these results. They are currently at the top of the league and still have the chance of making it to the UCL round of sixteen, the team deserves some accolades.

I don't even think it is necessary for Bayern Munich to think they are not doing well because they are yet to equal the record achieved by Bayer Leverkusen last season because they have created a history that can not be easily broken by any other team in the league as the team with the longest winners of the league that record is enough to keep them going as a team.
