I don't know what's your plans for Bitcoin, in terms of how long you are willing to hold, if you're holding a basket of coins or some Altcoins, it's advisable you consider taking profits the moment you realise a significant amount of profit, Because an Altcoin can increase or pump 10-50x in price and crashes in few days or weeks, that's what really happens during the Altcoins season you should be very much aware of, So, if you have long term goal for Bitcoin ,reinvest in Bitcoin.

OR, probably better to merely denominate everything in Bitcoin and price everything in Bitcoin. Therefore, instead of looking at a chart for XRP/USD, just use a XRP/BTC chart to better give you a good idea where your "trade" is going against Bitcoin. If it's surging against Bitcoin, OK keep holding your shitcoins. But if it's crashing against Bitcoin, then hold your capital in Bitcoin and wait for another opportunity to "trade" another shitcoin for your Bitcoin. That will probably give you an improved trading performance, no?
