This isn’t the politics board so I don’t want to get too deeper about this. But I do think this is unlikely to happen or at least this year (2025). Unlike whatever these leaders are saying, they actually don’t want to start a war especially with a nation that is capable of fighting back anyway. As per major wartime, Israel has been in war with Palestine for I don’t even know how long now. It didn’t cause world war III but neither China v Taiwan will. So, I don’t think we need to worry about it escalating too much.

If Taiwan were to be attacked, god forbid, I don’t think crypto will be that affected. Neither China and Taiwan are very big on crypto so whatever happens in both countries won’t be the end of bitcoin as they’re not widely associated with it anyway

Anyway, I'm expecting The Philippines in the Collective West v. China conflict to be what Ukraine is to the Collective West v. Russia. Nice isolated environment for proxy forces to blast away at one another at an area where there is not much value to either side which might get destroyed, and an excess of potential bullet-stoppers inhabiting the area. The U.S. has their boy in office and is already burying missiles there at an increased pace.

Bitcoin's fortunes are inversely tied to that of the USD, and the USD is a representation of the power of the Collective West banking interests. HODLers are already feeling the effects of the USD collapse for this reason. (Thanks Putin!) If/when the West, and it's major bully the US, gets comprehensively trounced, the world will need a USD replacement. To my surprise and joy, Bitcoin itself seems to be more and more in the running for this role!
