Don't worry if you can't solve it. I thought it was too easy, but it turned out to be either too difficult, or nobody really cares to solve it. Just ignore it and let it die... Do watch the movie though (if you haven't already).
I read the book (apparently, not close enough) and saw the movie, still do not remember that phrase/riddle, but google says that it is, indeed, a quote from the book.
Still a puzzle re the meaning, though.
You won't find that specific message in the book or movie. It's a different message, but with the same encoding.
