You are actually right but i do not think it is all cashier that usually does that because they know how risky it can be sometimes, i have seen where someone win a huge amount of money and it was unfortunate that the cashier could not keep his mouth shut so he just said it out in the midst of other gamblers (both good and bad people), so at the end of the day the young man who win that huge amount of money was later attacked and robbed so this is how dangerous it can be to expose or disclose someone that has a huge winning and that is why it is very good to bet or gamble at your own comfort zone and sometimes even when we gamble in our comfort... and we win such amount of money it will be very hard for us to keep it to ourself only because of the joy and happiness and at this point we should also be mindful of who to disclose this kind of information with because some people may not be happy with us or want to celebrate with us.

@Tungbulu It is what it is. I guess that's how things work in the traditional casino space, and the worst is the danger involved in everyone knowing the person who won the jackpot.
This reminds me of the person who won the lottery, all his family, and girlfriend see him as the person who must solve their financial problem. In the end, the girlfriend of the guy killed him because of the money. This is why we see some people who won the lottery jackpot and decide not to make their identity known to the public.

@sotelorene You have a point but I think some casinos use it for marketing purpose just like we see some online casino posting the winning of their user that won big amount so there's huge chance for the traditional cashier to make to the public the jackpot winner.
