That's not exactly true, but even if it were, what's stopping you and the people around you from paying each other for goods and services with cryptocurrencies? That's exactly the essence of BTC, a decentralized cryptocurrency that can be transferred to anyone anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day/365 days a year without having to ask permission from your government, bank, or anyone else.
