In my view older people use land based casinos basically as networking places rather then for the gambling purpose. it's been my observation that they spend more time on converse with others rather than on gambling itself. Probably some of them act as mentors who help inexperienced
gamblers to enhance their skills.
I saw such old mentors at gambling pits. They seek an atmosphere by socializing with other gamblers, because usually older people prefer to socialize and gather. I often see that, even though it's not in gambling, but they usually gather just to chat with each other and it can be accompanied by games, such as playing cards and others. And maybe that's what they want, they want to be like that and gambling becomes an escape. Unlike people who play online, they don't want to be disturbed and just want to focus on the game.
