To me, their VPN-friendly campaign and seeing this in their terms and conditions seem contradictory.
I'm not familiar with all casino ToS but I do recall seeing two new casinos that claim to be VPN-friendly in the last few months or so having no restriction. That being said, they will still block or investigate your account for malicious activity and it's unknown if their algorithm will easily trigger false positive or not.
I also not familiar with all casino terms and conditions but I read few casino's who have terms and conditions like this that even they were
VPN friendly ultimately they were not anonymous friendly. As most of the centralised casino who have the licence from reputable companies on that case they also meet with the requirement of anti-money laundering rules.
And in that case, even then those people say they were VPN friendly but they have kyc verifications, when they will ask for the KYC verification It's a waste to say it's VPN friendly there.
I think those VPN friendly claims is that you can use VPN without a problem with terms that you will not use it to bypass their restrictions set on country that was restricted or to abused their bonus using multiple account. Some casino like Stake.com has a terms that fully restrict the use of VPN no matter what is the purpose either for privacy purposes only while your country is not restricted.
I think “VPN friendly” is not really meant that they support a 100% anonymous betting. They just allow it to cater those players that use VPN by default but they are still subjected to KYC.
