I don't think Chelsea can stand a chance against man city current form, playing against wolves was quite easy for them because wolves are not in a good form at the. Moment, Their victory against the away team was expected. But losing five matches in a row isn't really a good record enough to play against Manchester city but my best guess is that the game between both teams would end as a draw. Manchester city also needs that game to give them a boost so it's not going to be any easy game for both teams, but I would go with Manchester city to win or draw.
After 5 games without a win in the Premier League, of course the victory means a lot to them, Wolves actually played impressively in that match and were even able to trouble the game shown by Chelsea, but indeed a collective game and a better mentality were able to make Chelsea rise in the second half to end match with victory.
It is too early for us to judge if a victory in one match has made them rise to return to the winning track, But I think getting a win after a series of negative results will usually make the mentality and confidence of the players improve again to face the next match, so if we talk about the match between Manchester City vs Chelsea, I think what we need to ask at the moment is: can Manchester City beat Chelsea with their inconsistency which is actually worse than Chelsea at the moment?
Wolves aren't a good team, after getting a new manager they looked good for just a few games but that's it, nothing more, they lost three in a row now, and haven't won in four games, so Chelsea beating them wasn't really a shocker. Much worse teams managed to beat Wolves, it is looking like it is going to be very hard for Wolves to stay in the league. Obviously they are 17th right now, and if league ended today they would stay, but they are literally same points with 18th place Ipswich, so I am not really expecting them to have anything further right now, they could still go down, there is no breathing room for them, they have to win some games.
The reality is that Wolves was in there, but those few games where they did good with the new manager got them out, so they are looking alright at the moment but they are really not, that has to be the most important part. I believe we are going to see some changes to Wolves, but they need to survive this season and make those changes on the summer.
