plenty of honest players get their funds confiscated or their wins voided under the pretense that they breached the terms of service, without providing any proof that they actually did.

and if not for places like casino.guru, askgamblers, or the scam accusations board on the forum, they would have never gotten their money back.

If there's truly an actual accusation against the casino, then we as a community will fight together against those dishonest admins behind the casino. BUT there are two situations - The user takes advantage of the casino AND the casino takes advantage of the player. Both of these which are NOT good for the casino.

I believe that if the casino is truly "legit", then the admins behind them would like to have the best experience for ALL of their users. Good user experience = good reputation. Good reputation = more users.
