Not every newbie understands that these scammers are fake people. They're being approached welcomingly and they won't notice the red flag in there.
That's why even if there is no point in responding on the chats, this is not about us but about them that's new to it and are not aware of the technique of these scammers.
To us, there is no problem about it because we're aware of it but still many newbies are being victimized by these people.
Newbies most times should be able to decipher messages sent to them from accounts claiming to be admins and mods. In most platforms I belong, there are pinned post and some of them always put it clear that Admins or Mods do not PM first and it is a normal thing that newbies ought to know about Crypto telegram platforms. On the pinned list sometimes the names of each Mods are clearly stated there for all to see and know the real Mods to enteract with so that any one who sends messages to members, the community can easily differentiate between them and immediately take measures to protect themselves against scammers.
Self awareness is a must if you want to exist safely in the Crypto space. Only you can protect yourself and assets from scammers. You just have to take your safety serious and making sure to stay updated on happenings as it bothers the Crypto community.
It's sad to say, it's easier said than done.
We can distinguish the difference of names and the obvious actions they do through messages. But many of these newbies aren't like us, they're totally naive to this world and they are gullible.
The scammer would offer them a couple of bucks and they're willing to give their information out and willingly to click on those scammy and phishing links that would send them.
That's how vulnerable they are.
