You funny, are you not capable of understanding that it's possible (and actually smart) for a small country to try and play both sides? Just because Castro with already Marxist ideology went to US first, country 150km from Cuba that was providing financial support to the previous Cuban dictator, in no way implies that he was somehow against Soviet Union politically or ideologically.
