I agree with that. But you cannot deny that being careful is most important. For example, I knew how these phishing scams work. But I was careless one night, and I was scrolling through social media, and I suddenly received an email. I was kind of sleepy and saw the email was from an airdrop hub website, and the email said I had some unclaimed reward. I went ahead without checking the sender of that email and connected my metamask wallet. It takes less than 30 seconds to wipe out my entire wallet. I realized right after signing, but that was too late already. I revoked the connection but the wallet was drained already. It's not like I didn't know how these scams works. It happened because I was careless.

I have seen this kind of scam many times on social media and it's wise for us to be very careful when scrolling on social media. Their are many scams online and it's important we scrutinize every link to ensure that they are safe. There are lots of scam links everywhere and when one is not careful enough, you could end up with the wrong link that will make you lose fund drastically. There are so many things happening online especially on social media that support ads. There are some crypto ads that are scam promoting fake projects especially those that claim to give you huge incentives for doing nothing.

Being specific in dealing with devices that have your wallet is very important and having separate wallets for separate concerns is twice as important. I have wallets that I can use for these airdrops stuffs as well as my main wallet that I use for storing my coins and I never connect my main wallets anywhere because I'm very much informed of scam activities.

More caution taken is that I don't access my email from the device of my main Bitcoin holdings. I have a separate device for that and I do very limited stuffs with it. The security of my digital assets is of a very high priority.

Perhaps lack of coin security knowledge have lead most people into regrets and it seems that the story never ends it keeps repeating and constantly evolving yet we do not take coin security seriously to a high level.

Of course one could have accumulated enough bitcoin having the feelings of fulfilling your portfolio but at the end you might end up being in the hands of scammers for not being able to utilise the high end open source wallets that are recommended.

Of course most times people do now want to get too much into security as their assets as not much in value but perhaps knowing how bitcoin price could change in a long run would be enough reason to make sure one secures their assets very well.

I high recommended using open source wallets and more of a cold storage when you would have nothing to do with connection to the internet, disabling things like WiFi, Bluetooth connections etc on any devices one wishes to use airgapped device.
