You are absolutely right but in doing this, you have to also make sure you have a system in place that should detect and delete and fake/bot followers as well as bot that have been programmed to be able to complete the X task and also enter the give away, at the end, you might end up discovering that a particular X user may enter the giveaway with more then a thousand accounts or more as a way to increase his or her chances of winning, because when someone enters a giveaway with over 1000 accounts, the chances are very high that two or more of his account will be among the accounts choosen or selected as the winners, this is something many people do on X giveaways and it's one of the reasons why serious people don't take giveaways on X very seriously.

Better to run a giveaway off X, like on this forum for example, of coinmarketcap or any other platform with lots of users, you did end up with the same result.
