Haha, I think these weapons (clubs with nails) exist only in Silent Hill 2 (if you know the video-game).
I have heard of the game but never played it. Anyways, that's not where I got the idea from. I read a crime novel based in 1950's LA where the mob used such customized billy clubs against their enemies and competitors. It seemed like a great idea. A billy club is basically a police baton. If it can be modified with razor blades, why not nails. 
Silent Hill seems to be proof of that. // edit: I am giving you one merit man, I can't look at this "7776".
