It's going to be bad for tennis if their number 1 player are going to be suspended, and if I'm not mistaken, he could be out for 1 to 2 years. And that will not look good for him, but still though, he was found positive not just once, but twice.

So let's see, it's very hard decision to make for the body to suspend it, but rule is the rule and so they will have to implement it regardless of who the player is. Similar in boxing, when Ryan Garcia was tested positive and he was ban for 1 year. Although his suspension is going to be lift this April.

But it's totally different for tennis player as they usually play the whole year. As compare to boxers, with only 1 or 2 fights a year.
In recent time few serious controversies create concerns in Tennis because ITF is using double standards for players which are never been good if someone is guilty of having wrong then surely he deserved to be punished as other sports organizations are doing for these subsequent.

Tennis can lose its charisma if they fail to bring transparency because rule and laws are always equal for all and implemented for better future of game Sinner is done mistake so he deserved to be punished as they have done with other players but most chances nothing will happen like this and Federation will bring middle way for keeping their best player on track safely.

They really cannot afford to have double standards, I',m a big fan of Sinner but
it will be a bit strange or a bit smelly if he is cleared, it will be seen as one rule for
the top players and another for everyone else.

See Simona Halep is retiring after returning from a doping ban, she hasnt been
able to perform as she had before the ban, similarly Sharapova had the same experience,
she also had to retire after coming back from a ban, lets hope that if Sinner gets a ban
he will be able to return to the no.1 spot.

Correct, they can't have a double standards here, as I have said, they should be implementing their rules, regardless if it is their current number 1 player as there could be some group of players that might make noises here if they see that they are biased.

Sinner is still young, definitely he can go back from the ban and see if he still has it. Could be a blessing for and the federation itself as there could be others who will go and chase to be the number 1 in absence of Sinner.

And then when he comes back, we will wait if he can get back his former glory prior to the ban.

The one advantage Sinner will have if he has to serve a ban and then try regain his former
glory is that he has youth on his side so I dont doubt that he will be able to be back on top
or close to it.
