Everyone is most of the time responsible for their situations. The casinos basically have nothing to do with you ending up an addict because it is assumed that as an adult or someone over the age of 18 you should be able to make proper decisions for yourself which in the case of gambling includes decisions that will prevent addiction.
Online gambling doesn't directly cause addiction but on the contrary bad gambling habits do cause addiction. This is because you can get used to them as time passes.
