If we are talking about the same video, then it's not a push-to-open mechanism that reveals the secret. You remove the hidden compartment/tube with the help of a magnet.

It mustn't be the same video but I hear it as a variation of the one I 've seen.
Lots of great ideas, but the tricky part is that you should know how to do them on your one, otherwise there will always be someone knowing about the hiding spot.
