Binance's SAFU was the only time they ever used to reimburse the hacked funds which happened in 2019 for about 40 million at that time.

I never seen any other exchange did such thing and we might find out if they were hacked but I don't trust them cause we don't really know there's actually something reserved to cover in case of hacks and who knows they just want to promote exchange as safest using this technique.
