This is a scam bud, a very common one at that, I remember that this scam tactics reigned well around 2017 - 2020 and alot of persons fell victim to it.

What you have to know is that your account isn't charged with any bitcoin, not even 1 or half of it, your account balance is zero, the scammer just made things look real to you for a reason no other than to scam you, the site itself is a scam, owned and managed by scammers, so don't pay them any dime, you will only lose your money.

Think about this this way, there is 12 bitcoins on your account which was given to you by them, but amazingly, they need you to pay $1000 before they can allow you withdraw the money, 12 bitcoin itself is money and worth much more than $1000, why don't they simply take the $1000 they need from the 12 bitcoin and allow you withdraw the remaining balance in peace? 😁

This is an old scam tactics, don't fall victim to it, and good thing you even asked this here before taking any action.

Most of the people who fall for this kind of scam are those greedy forks that believe that crypto is a game of chances and miracles where by anyone can send thousands of dollars worth of cryptocurrency into their accounts, this doesn't make any sense to an intelligent person, because of you are telling me that I have around $100,000 worth of Bitcoin in my wallet, and needing say like $50 for withdrawal fees, this doesn't make sense and I'ma d does not follow the standard practice of transparent handling of fees on exchange or wallets, most fees should be deducted from the initial amount and remaining balance sent to the withdrawal wallet, so anyone asking for fees in this kind of situation is targeting you as victim of his scam.

Exactly the point bud, and it is rather unfortunate that history has continued to repeat itself simply because many have refused to listen, or read and learn.

I have had this type of scam attempts on my self in the past, way back 2017 or so when I was still very new and naive in the crypto space, I got a private pm on discord and the message read that I just won 20,000 eth in a chat event on one of the servers I belonged to on discord, the pm provided a link to visit to claim the money, everything looked so real to me, so i did not hesitate to visit the link, it turned out to be an exchange I've never heard of, and I logged in with the credentials also provided in the pm and there in my account was 20,000 eth worth hundreds of thousands of dollars at the time, I tried to withdraw it but was told I have to deposit atleast $500 worth of any other supported cryptocurrency so it can be used as transaction fee, maybe I would have fell for this scam if I had $500 at that time 😁 but fortunately, I didn't have such an amount of money, so after thinking for a while, I replied the pm on discord telling the person to please take out the $500 withdrawal fee from the 20,000 eth and allow me withdraw the balance, he immediately blocked me, and then I knew it was a scam attempt on me, I would have fallen victim to this scam due to my greed and desperation to make money from crypto at that time lol.
